Tour Itinerary:
D1: Depart by Express bus in the morning from KL to Raub then proceed by taxi to Fraser Hill. This is a hill station 1,500m .Check in at Puncak Inn. Cold whather will refresh you. After dinner you will do a Night Walk to spot this montane forest insect. Not to be missing is a spider…
D2: After breakfast you will do a Jungle Trekking on one of the trails on Fraser’s Hill. Sound of gibbons can be heard clearly instead of observing some birds. Fraser’s Hill is a paradise for bird watchers. Every year “Bird’s Race” – spotting bird’s competition are organised here. After lunch travel by rental bus / minibus to Jerantut. You will stay at Homestay Kg. Binjai which is about 10KM from Jerantut. This is a traditional Malay village that surrounded by rubber, oil palm and cacao plantation as well the fruit orchards. Each family or couple will have a private family foster to stay with. A single person will share with another. You will be taken out by your host foster for a walk around the village. Typical home cooked food’s will serves by your hosts. At night before you can close you eye’s, you will hear a sound of frogs & crickets. (D)
D3: Rooster will give you a wake-up call while your hosts are ready with Malay breakfast. Together you will be taken for a tour to visit rubber, oil palm plantation and fruits orchard. Lunch you will have with your host foster. In the afternoon, you might go for fishing in the nearby fish pond or just spend a time with host foster at home. (B/L/D)
D4: After breakfast with your host foster, you will be transfer to Jerantut. From here you will catch a train to Gua Musang. You will arrive Gua Musang in the afternoon. Upon arrival you will be transfer by car / minibus to Taman Negara Kuala Koh. You will arriver after about 1 ½ hours journey through big oil palm plantation. Check in wooden cabin. This is another entrance of famous Taman Negara. It is quiter here a less tourists compare to popular entrance of Kuala Tahan. River just a few meters away where the water is fresh from the mountain. Take a swim in this clear water. Dinner will be serving at the restaurant. After dinner, you will watch a documentary video show from Department of Wildlife & National Park. Night is very quiet except sounds of night birds, frogs and some insects. (B/D)
D5: After breakfast, together go for Jungle Trekking & Canopy Walkway. Here, the hanging bridge stretches 300 Meters long and between 30 – 50 meters high. Proceed you walk through the dense forest where trail are narrow and not marked. Lunch at the restaurant. Afternoon, walk to visit an Orang Asli Settlement. These Batek tribes still practice nomadic life – hunting and gathering and roaming the Taman Negara forest. In the hot day, take a boat ride to upper richer of the river and float down “rubber tubing” on the rubber tube is a good idea. You will enjoy a view of riverine vegetation and perhaps spot some birds as well such as a king fisher, fishing eagle or hornbill. Masked Fin foot is rare but you might be lucky to see Crested Fire back. After dinner go for a Night Safari. ( by 4 wheel drive through the plantations try to spot some nocturnal wildlife such as wild pig, civet cat or slow lorries and flying Lemur. (B/L/D)
D6: After breakfast proceed the journeys to
D7: Breakfast on the floating restaurant. By hired car or minibus you will travel to Kuala Besut. We will stop for lunch some where in Kuala Trengganu. After a while you will reach a sea at Jetty Kuala Besut where you will take a boat to Perhentian Island Besar. Stay at Fauna Chalet in fan chalet that facing to sea. (B)
